Prenatal Yoga: Thursdays 6:30 – 7 :45 pm with Cindi MA YOGA is a group of yoga teachers dedicated to helping women enjoy their journey to motherhood and beyond. We believe that pregnancy can be an opportunity to connect to our bodies and our hearts in a whole new way; experience the importance of community by meeting other moms-to-be; and embody the highest Self. We offer classes where women can gather, share stories and tips, find guidance and support, and use muscles and breath to move toward optimal alignment so they can leave feeling uplifted and strong.

MA YOGA teachers come from different backgrounds, and combine yoga principles with what they’ve found to be helpful in their own lives. We create a safe and playful class atmosphere in which women can explore their connection to their bodies and their babies in new, enjoyable and empowering ways.

Our teachers have been inspired by the Anusara philosophy of learning to “skillfully move in the current of the heart,” and we continue to study and practice ways of applying this philosophy in our lives to find more freedom, steadiness, and joy. We also continue studying and practicing the Anusara Universal Principles of Alignment, which helps on a biomechanical level reduce pain and deepen our connection to innate strength.

Prenatal Yoga: Some women start the moment they find out they’re pregnant, others wait until they can get p off the couch... MA YOGA teachers incorporate the Anusara Universal Principles of Alignment to help get rid of aches and pains and increase strength and freedom safely at ANY TIME of pregnancy. Partners are welcome to attend.

Mommy Yoga + Baby: Yoga for new moms means practicing in between feeds and changes. Come do what you can and enjoy some time with your breath, your baby and other moms. Come until they’re rawling. Preschool Yoga: Yoga for 3-5 year olds. Take a 45 minute break and know your little one is gaining important tools to connect to a feeling of peaceful goodness inside – and having a blast in the process!

Annie Dubrinsky graduated from University of Michigan in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and Music History, where she received the Robertson Award for Outstanding Performance in Music. She moved to Los Angeles in 2002. She is a singer-songwriter and piano player who performs regionally and nationally under the name Annie Stela. She was signed to Capitol Records from 2003-2007 where she recorded her first album, Fool, available at Dragonfly DuLou! Annie has spent several years as a nanny to two very special families, as well as teaching private piano lessons to kids. Combining her love of music and children by teaching Music Together® at Dragonfly DuLou has been an organic and exciting step for Annie!!

Ellen Kennedy A seasoned commercial and TV producer for nearly 20 years, Ellen turned her sights on music for children in 2006. Inspired by the day-to-day life with her then 3-year-old son, and pregnant with twins, Ellen and her husband Matt formed the “kindie rock” band Ellen and Matt, and recorded and released their first CD, “Best Friends”. Over the next three years, Ellen and Matt received critical acclaim and developed quite a following playing shows in New York and all over Los Angeles, including serving as the “house band” at Dragonfly DuLou! Ellen also taught traditional Hebrew and Jewish music to the religious school children of Ohr HaTorah congregation for two years. She loves trying out all of the Music Together songs on her three rambunctious sons, and is excited to be a member of the Dragonfly DuLou family.

CREATIVE MOVEMENT/PARENT AND ME
Tuesdays 2:45-3:30pm ages 2-3 (parent and me)
A fun-time creative movement class that encourages your child to move while teaching them fundamentals. Children learn the structure of dance class, how to utilize motor skills in movement, and develop basic technique through the experience of creative imagery and improvisation.

STORYBOOK BALLET/CREATIVE MOVEMENT
Tuesdays 3:30-4:15pm ages 3-4
Imagination in motion. Dancers with experience develop a love of dance through storytelling, improvisation, and creative exploration. Each week the class leads dancers on a different musical journey (to the jungle, a magical kindom, etc.), with focus on motor-skill development, building classroom skills, and proper ballet technique.

BEGINNING BALLET/STUDIES IN MOVEMENT
Tuesdays 4:15-5pm ages 5-6
Introduces Ballet technique, vocabulary, and fundamentals with a creative and playful approach. This Ballet and Creative Movement class builds on basic technique, developing focus in the classroom/dance studio, and teaches children a variety of dance combinations, exposing the to different movement forms.
Requires (at least) 1 year movement experience.
